Billing Explanation
What counts as a character?
Every letter, number, space, and punctuation mark in the text you send counts as one input character.
When is content not charged again?
Simple8 keeps matching requests in the cache for 30 days. If you send the same text again with the same language and mode, we reuse the result and do not count those characters again.
What happens when I reach my monthly limit?
On paid plans, Simple8 can continue at the published price for additional characters. You can turn additional usage off; processing then pauses until the next billing period. Sandbox always pauses at the limit.
Do unused characters carry over to the next month?
No. Your included characters reset at the start of each monthly billing period.
Is VAT included in the prices?
No. The prices shown are before VAT.

Which plan should a public-sector organization choose?+
Choose Sandbox for the editor with 15,000 characters per month. Starter includes 100,000 characters plus API and widget access. Growth includes 1 million characters plus webhooks and technical integration support. Scale includes 5 million characters plus batch processing, priority support, and onboarding.
Are output characters charged?+
No.
Usage is calculated from new input characters.
Cached results and output characters are not counted a second time.
Validation failures and requests rejected before processing do not consume the character allowance.
A retry counts only when it successfully processes new input that was not returned from the cache.
Can we disable charges for additional characters?+
Yes.
You can turn additional usage on or off in your account settings.
When it is off, Simple8 pauses new processing after the included monthly characters are used.
Processing resumes at the start of the next billing period or when you upgrade.
Cached results remain available.
When can we cancel our plan?+
Monthly and annual plans can be cancelled at any time.
The cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and the plan remains available until then.
