What is the difference between Plain Language and Easy Language?+
Plain Language reduces unnecessary complexity for a broad audience. Easy Language goes further with very short sentences, clear sections, and especially easy-to-understand wording. Simple8 keeps the modes separate so teams can choose the right level for each audience and content type.
No. Simple8 does not automatically make a website accessible. Plain Language and Easy Language support language accessibility. Technical accessibility also includes, for example, usability, contrasts, keyboard control, alternative texts and technical implementation.
Use a supported integration, the website widget, or the API. WordPress, TYPO3, Drupal, and custom systems can send content to Simple8 and store or publish the result.
We process content exclusively in Germany. Yes, our processing is GDPR-compliant.
Our security documentation explains in clear terms how content is processed, which technical data is logged, how caching and storage work, when data is deleted, and which service providers are involved.
With additional usage enabled, you can keep working after reaching your monthly allowance. Additional characters are billed at your plan's overage rate. Without additional usage, new requests pause until the next billing period or until you change plans. Existing results remain available.
How long are results stored in the cache?+
Simple8 stores generated results in the cache for up to 180 days. This makes repeated requests faster and avoids processing the same content again during that period.
Do cached results count against my monthly limit?+
No. When the same request can be served from the cache, its characters are not counted again. Only newly processed input characters count toward your monthly allowance.

Does Simple8 translate content into another language?+
Yes. In the API, you choose the output language and language mode separately. For example, German source text can be returned in English using either Plain Language or Easy Language.
Is customer content used to train models?+
No. Simple8 does not use customer content to train or fine-tune models.
Can I turn additional usage on or off?+
Yes. In paid plans, you can turn additional usage on or off at any time. Prices and details can be found on the pricing page.
